Matix clothing was formed by skateboarders Tim Gavin and Daewon Song in 1998, who were bored with clothes falling apart upon contact with concrete. A common problem with clothing aimed at skateboarding at the time. With a solid grounding on cutting edge design and durability Matix is now worn by some of the best skateboarders around including Marc Johnson, Torey Pudwill, Andreas Wiig, Mikey LeBlanc, Gabe Kling, Rodney Mullen, Danny Garcia, Marc Johnson and Rick McCrank. Matix clothing has a simple ethos of mixing up skate, surf art and street culture into a what can best be described as a fusion for the discerning.
The apparel range stretches from boardshorts to chinos, from t shirts to heavy winter outerwear. The key part of the range is usually collaborations with other brands, artists and athletes. Many of the Matix Clothes team have endorsed product in the range. Look out for Matix tee colabs with Diamond, Krooked, Starter and loads more.
