Quiksilver was founded in Torquay, Australia, in the early 1970's with the aim of creating the best boardshorts possible. Leading the surfing lifestyle, and producing Quiksilver clothing along the way, the founders joined up with Americans Jeff Hakman and Bob McKnight, to produce Quiksilver clothing from Newport Beach California.
